Scuba Diving
I really enjoy diving (definitely less exhausting then the mountaineering
stuff:). I took my PADI OW 96 and have been diving ever since. I'm now a
PADI AOW. I've also studied extensively for Rescue Diver, but due to work
load and other obligations (marriage) I've had to postpone it. Perhaps I'll
have time to pick it up again some time...
Some of the places I've been diving are Sweden (east and west coast), Great Barrier Reef in Australia, the Red Sea at Sharm el Sheik, Bintan in Indonesia and Islands of Malaysia like Pulau Aur, Dayang and Redang. I've placed some pics from trips here. Trips:

Sailing
Sailing combines beeing outdoors, exposed to the elements, and the aspect
of handling a vessel trying to use the wind to its maximum. This mix appeal
to me, and throw in a few buddies on a larger boat and you have a nice recipe.
I haven't had to many opportunities to sail yet, but summer 98 I had a great
trip with some friends. We sailed from Fjällbacka, west coast Sweden,
to Töntberg in Norway and back. We only did sailing during the days,
and spent evening in harbour stocking up on alkohol or just idling in some
natural harbour. Very pleasant way to spend a week!
I started my sailing experience with a introductory course in Melbourne. I didn't really have much time nor opportunity to do any more sailing while I were there, but I managed to join my friend Simon Cornish for one day in Philip Bay. Back in Sweden I joined another fanatic friend, Daniel Blomqvist, for a weekend of sailing in Sandhamn. We participated in a two day match course race. Pretty exciting and a good experience. In Singapore I have sailed the topper, laser and laser pico. You can find some links at Singapore Sailing Federation and People's Association Sea Sports Club. Trips and training:
Wakeboarding
Wakeboarding is a nice way to get some adrenaline action without to much
risk if hurting yourself bad. The Singapore climate was quite ideal for
it to, with water temperature beeing at least 28 degrees celsius year round.
I did it once in Sweden but it just wasn't the same thing.
I've only been boarding a few times so far, but I really enjoy this sport. The fact that I've been on snowboard before also allows me to start playing around with simple tricks quite fast. It's easier then snowbarding, that's for sure. Pics:
