This is the old kitchen. Entered through a very narrow doorway it had a crammed feeling. A new stove in an otherwise old but charmless and not very functional kitchen.
An inner ceiling dropped the height of the room to about 220 cm instead of the normal 330 cm elsewhere in the appartment.
Here the wall to the hall has come down as well ass the cabinets. You can see a patch of tape on the wall. This hole was revieled behind the cabinets and I hoped that it was an air outlet that could be used for exhaust from a kitchen fan.
Unfortunately it turned out to be air intake instead of outlet. I checked the vent duct in the ceiling to see if I could use it for kitchen fan outlet. It couldn't.. it leaked under preasure higher upp in the house. So I had to settle for a carbon filter fan with recycling of air.
Here almost the whole kitchen is gone. Next step is to break up the floor.
Here the floor is gone, showing the old floor beams. A major reason for breaking up the floor was that there were four small patches of floor, all of different heights, in the hall, kitchen, wardrobe and small wardrobe in hallway.
